Galatians 5:13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

Good News
Happy 4th of July as it will be such an amazing day for so many. Today as we look at this scripture it reminds us that we have been called to freedom. In fact it is the perfect will of God that we will be free of sinful natures and bondage. When ever I see an American flag waving high with the beautiful colors of red, white and blue, I always think about Jesus and what he did on the cross so we can be free. Freedom always comes at a cost. It either comes through wars and or a treaty. I can truly say that America is blessed because we do have freedom unlike some other countries. But I am thankful for this scripture because it does remind us that the truth that real freedom comes through the name of Jesus Christ. And the only way that we can receive freedom is by the forgiveness of sins through the washing of the blood of Jesus Christ. Today I wanna challenge you that where ever you are at such as a barbecue, at the beach, with friends shooting off fireworks, or even at home, or at work today to take some time to remember the one that paid the price for freedom and his name is Jesus. Jesus died for all of our sins to give us an opportunity so that we can have life and life more abundantly through him the Bible says for the wages of sin is death but with Jesus Christ as a gift of life. Jesus died for us as well as even our freedom in America. I’m so thankful for the army soldiers that died for our country who gave up their lives so that we truly could be free. But honestly we will never totally be free unless we have Jesus Christ in our life.
