Colossians 3:2  Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.

Happy breakthrough Wednesday as we continue, keeping our eyes pure week. Growing up in church often sometimes becomes a regular routine and or a tradition where the love of God goes stagnant. Needless to say, whatever reason why we went to church there should only be one answer that is correct and it is to grow closer to God. So we look at these scriptures today to help us so we are set up to grow. The first scripture starts out with set our minds on the things above. This means keeping focused on the Kingdom's things and reject all that comes to fight against it. The second declares that as we gave our life to Jesus we died of the old man which is our desire to chase the world. So the more we look into Jesus and by loving God our desires for this world will cease. So the last verse comes to encourage us that if we live right according to God's ways then we will go to heaven. So we must be watchful not to interact with the ways of the world and to stay focused with our eyes set on the prize which is Jesus. If you have a desire to live the ways of the world ask God to lead you out and into His righteousness so your eyes and soul are cleansed through the blood of Jesus.
