Mathew 6:23 The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

Happy Monday morning as we start a fresh hot week. This week's theme, keeping our eyes pure. So many times in our life we begin to look at things such as the world and how the world is moving in the chaos in the world and so many distractions. Also looking at too much social media as we’ve talked about those are time killers. Things that are not pleasing that we look at do not help us as to why we look at this scripture today. The scripture comes to remind us today of the importance of keeping our eyes pure. The eyes are a lamp and what our eyes look at goes into our body. If our eyes are healthy then we have a healthy soul if our eyes are looking at stuff which it should not be looking at then are soul and body is full of darkness. So how can we really keep on keeping our eyes pure? Simply keeping our eyes focused on the things of God, and staying away from negative things. The best way is what Jesus said in scripture seek ye first the kingdom of God and all his righteousness shall be added onto you. If your eyes are upon the Lord and focus on the things of the kingdom how much better when Our soul will be healthier? Today let’s really work on keeping our eyes off the things of the world and keep our eyes focused on Jesus and things will be better for our life.
