Good News

Good Friday morning to you as we wrap up this week’s theme, How close are you to God? Yesterday I had a conversation with a lady who I saw had many questions about the Lord. The more she talked and the more I listened, I realized that even though she confessed to being a Christian, there was no relationship with God. She had no direction on where God was going to take her, and definitely, she had no stability in Christ. Then finally, as she began to finish what she was sharing with me, she came To this conclusion, I guess I need to know how close and where God is in my life? I said yes, the closer you get to God, the more you will understand what God has for your life. This morning I woke up with this scripture, and I believe it is a great one that sums up this week's theme. God indeed has a plan for all of us. Not only a plan, but He has a purpose and a strategic plan that will help us reach the place God has called us to. But in the scripture, it starts blessed is the man You choose. That right there is very powerful because God chooses to be with everyone as He loves all of us. But not everyone is going to turn to God, so as the ones who turn to God, God chooses to turn towards them. So as we wrap up this week’s theme, how close are you to God? I want us to be aware of how close God is to us? Is He walking alongside us, holding our hand? Is He right there when trouble occurs and when we have good days? Remember those that draw towards the Lord with a heart that desires Him will find him. Today seek first the kingdom of God, and all his righteousness shall be added onto you. The more you see God, the more you will find him, the more you will learn to love him, the more you will find out his characteristics and why he does the things he does, and your love for Christ will get stronger and stronger every day. So let us be God's chasers and run after Jesus with all that we have so we can put a smile on His face as he fills our hearts with his love. Have a blessed weekend.
